Meet Frankie
Concierge
Frankie works alongside Stacey at both Haven and Truth Mind & Body, Stacey’s wellness center in Sparks.
So when it came time to build the Haven team, Stacey didn’t have to wonder how Frankie would handle responsibility, communicate with clients or respond when something unexpected happened.
She already knew.
She earned her BA in Human Services and spent years working in the nonprofit and public sectors, with a focus on public health and crisis intervention. It was work that required compassion, professionalism, critical thinking and the ability to stay calm when things didn't exactly go according to plan.
Which, as it turns out, is also pretty useful when your coworkers have four legs.
Frankie grew up a Carroll/Baltimore County farm girl, so hard work and animals have been part of her life for as long as she can remember. There were barn cats, an old hound dog asleep on the porch, hens wandering loose in the yard, horses, ponies, goats, steer, pigs and one very talkative donkey.
There was also one particularly ill-tempered rooster everyone avoided at all costs.
Behind the screen door were the animals who became family: dogs curled up in front of the wood stove, cats who found the warmest available spot and, later, Alice, an English Bulldog Frankie describes as her “furry soulmate.”
Today, home includes Ginger and Smoky, rescued bonded siblings who presumably consider themselves management.
Frankie believes animals teach us love, respect, compassion and kindness without ever needing words. She's equally comfortable with the human side of Haven. She's warm, open-minded and funny, connects easily with people and has spent years learning how to notice what others might miss: changes in patterns, moods, behavior and the little details that can tell you something isn't quite right.
She's organized, reliable and unafraid to roll up her sleeves. When something unexpected happens, years of crisis intervention have given her a pretty useful instinct: assess what's happening, figure out what matters most and get to work.
Or, as Frankie puts it:
“If you need someone to get it done, I’m your person.”
