Meet Bob

Concierge

If you’re wondering how Bob ended up at Haven, this one’s pretty easy.

He’s been Stacey’s life partner for 24 years.

They’ve built a life together, raised five cats together, traveled the world together, worked together and, most recently, founded, owned and operated a wellness center together.

So when Stacey began assembling the small group of people she trusted enough to help care for Haven clients’ needs, Bob was an easy and obvious choice.

Bob knows a thing or two about trust.

For him, being entrusted with someone’s home, animals or anything else they care about means treating it exactly as he would his own. The goal is simple: when you return, everything should be just as you left it, with the important exception that the animals may have been properly spoiled.

The flexible schedule and opportunity to meet new people were certainly part of what appealed to Bob about Haven.

But making new four-legged friends?

That was the real selling point.

Ask him whether he’s a dog person or a cat person and you won’t get much help narrowing it down. He’s firmly both. His favorite critter, however, is Annie Sue, Haven’s own Chief Nap Supervisor and a cat whose standards for acceptable human service are notoriously high.

If the animals in Bob’s life were asked for a performance review, he suspects it would go something like this:

“He serves us well. Keeps us safe. Keeps us happy. Would retain.”

That seems about right.

Bob also happens to have visited all 50 states, so he knows his way around a road trip. And while he’s approaching 60, he remains an unapologetic video gamer, proving either that some hobbies keep you young or that growing up is wildly overrated.

People who know Bob would probably tell you he’s funny.

They’d also tell you he’s loyal.

Bob himself put it somewhat more dramatically:

“If you need someone to take a bullet, I’m your person.”

We’re hoping Haven assignments rarely require that particular level of commitment.

But it’s nice to know where he stands.
